If you're coming from Ft. Collins and points south:(route marked in RED)
This is a little tough, but you should make it, using our directions and the map below. Get on U.S. highway 287 and go north out of Ft. Collins. You'll pass by the old “Ted's Place,” and the “Forks Café.” Stay on 287 for a bit once you pass the “Forks” and look for a sign on the left that directs you on to “Cherokee Park Road.” Follow the directions on our map… its about 20 miles. Stay on the main road. At one point, you'll see a fairly significant fork in the road; take the right fork in a northerly direction. Continue for three or four miles and, after passing a couple of different cabins, you'll come to an uphill stretch of road. Look for a large two-part gate made from chain-link fence. That’s our driveway. Come on up. There's parking up there! If you're coming from Laramie and points north: (route marked in BLUE)
This one is a bit easier. Drive south on U.S. Highway 287 for 17 miles, until you reach the bustling Metropolis of Tie Siding.Reset your trip odometer or at least check your mileage.
At the south end of Tie Siding, take a right and follow the dirt road that heads of in a southwesterly direction. That road, Cherokee Park Road, takes a big arc-like route to the cabin, first southwest, then south, crossing the Wyoming/Colorado border, continuing south, turning to the southeast and finally following a southerly route through the wooded hills around Boulder Ridge.
Check your mileage and at around 10 miles south of Tie Siding, you will notice the Mill Creek Ranch entrance to your left. Don't turn there, but continue down the main road for about one-third of a mile or so. As the road works its way downhill, look to the left and you'll notice a large two-part gate made from chain-link fence. That’s our driveway. Come on up. There's parking up there!
